Innovation Thursdays are about tackling weekly case studies and discussing live applications with the community, where we can learn about the science and practices of agile innovation – the discipline of launching fast and continuous iterations.

A weekly community practice in radical innovation,
human-centered design, and lean, agile, creative
problem solving that brings solutions to market fast.
From being stuck in an employee mindset
where one is dependent on an employer
To a path to self-sustaining livelihoods
that is actionable from Day 1.
Mindset shifts are not enough; we need interventions that translate into actions.
No charity or philanthropic models; we are looking for radical innovations
that can sustain themselves through reasonable business margins.
To facilitate the insights and opportunities discussed during this GrowthLab, we used the concept of Build-to-Learn, a series of solo workouts and iterations that are followed by peer discussion. This is what allows us to fully realize and actualize the right opportunities for us during the New Normal.
Co-create with stakeholders in developing prototypes and learn to do better in the next loop; This presupposes a change mindset that may need nurturing and guidance through coaching and mentoring to handle fear of failures and other personal obstacles.
In terms of getting rapid prototypes out to users and customers, your great customer relationships become so much more valuable and crucial to maintain. Without a strong relationship between you and a customer, the communication and honesty won’t be there and you risk losing out on receiving feedback that could help you further improve your prototype. I believe that successful reiterations require strong customer relationships to bring out the most honest opinions and feedback which really help refine a prototype.
It is very important to be methodical and strategic when approaching problems. By tackling problems one step at a time, new approaches and insights will be gained that may have not been clear at first glance of the problem. Growth lab today, complementing last Tuesday’s, illustrated an effective system in developing solutions.
Prototyping is not getting it right! but it is not also about failing. It’s about how you were able to iterate based on customers needs and how you were able to address their problems and give them satisfaction they needed.
The importance of build to learn. Ideas for innovation don’t have to be perfect from the start, we are all flawed after all. Failing doesn’t mean you need to stop with what you are doing, it just means to get going. Don’t be afraid to fail, it’s normal. It’s just a start, just continue with what you wanted to do. Resilience is the key to be successful.
In doing rapid prototyping, don’t hesitate to share your ideas and thoughts because it might be helpful to build or create a new design model for your business. Your team benefits so much from rapid prototyping and finding solutions because it will enhance your thinking.
