Ignite Delta + Partners

Welcome to GPS WEDNESDAYS.

Who am I? Why am I here? What was I born to do?

These are life’s most important conversations.
They hold the keys to living our deepest truths
and so fulfilling our highest potential and greatest promise.

Together let us take an afternoon walk
and touch these truths through the lens and story of one of us
– a fellow human being journeying through the same questions.

Each week we feature a guest from yet another
walk of life, who opens up to us his or her journey.
Together then, we are active participants
and partners in this journey.

In so doing, week after week, we help each other take further steps
– they can be baby steps or they can be giant leaps forward –
in the lifelong journey to our peak selves.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

I promised that gifting Miguel the mirror would be gifting ourselves our own mirror. Taking that GPS walk with all of you reminded me of why I started Ignite – but this time I found a clarity I’ve not had before. I now see that the pain that fuels my compassion is not so much my own experience of pain but seeing something that has given me so much joy, force, and impact in my own life that is so absent in so many people’s lives. Ignite is all about sharing one of my life’s deepest joys!

Andre

You can also find purpose through joy too – serving others doesn’t need to be about solving their pains but it could also be about providing their joys in life. Finding purpose through giving joy validates the idea that we really need to connect with our stakeholders on a more empathetic and compassionate level, otherwise we won’t genuinely know what joys they seek or what pains they go through.

KAHLIL

It was kind of an AHA moment for me to realize that purpose does not necessarily always come from pain, it can also be rooted in joy. In as much as pain moves you to act, so does joy. The thing I appreciate most is that purpose is powerful, regardless of where your source of purpose comes from.

Gerald

A higher calling that we all have is to be an instrument of each other’s TRANSFORMATION.

Our individual GPS won’t always lead us to the “easiest” path. But if we’re honest with ourselves it always helps us navigate through life’s treacherous waters. The pain we go through during this journey serves as a preamble towards more joyful ends.
